Effective date: October 27, 2026

Skinfinity Rx Medspa (“Skinfinity”, “we”, “us”) is located at Winston Churchill Medical Centre, 6975 Meadowvale Town Centre Cir, Unit 1A, Mississauga, Ontario L5N 2W7. This policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal information when you visit skinfinityrx.ca or lp.skinfinityrx.ca, contact us, respond to our online ads or become a client of the clinic.

The laws we follow

Information we hold as part of your care, such as consultation notes, medical history, treatment records and photos, is personal health information under Ontario’s Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA). Other personal information, such as website and marketing data, is handled in line with the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

Information we collect

When you contact us or book a consultation. Our website forms ask for your name, phone number and email address. The main site form also lets you choose a treatment you are interested in and leave a message. Please don’t include medical details in a website form or message. We will ask for that information during your consultation, where it can be recorded properly in your clinical file. If you call us, we keep a record of your call and what you asked about.

When you become a client. We collect the information needed to assess and treat you safely, including your health history, medications, allergies, consent forms, treatment notes, before and after photos, and payment and billing details.

When you visit our websites. Like most websites, ours collect technical information automatically, including your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, how you reached the site (for example, from a Google ad) and actions such as submitting a form. This is collected through cookies and similar tools described below.

How we use your information

We use your information to respond to your inquiries, schedule and confirm appointments, provide and document treatment, process payments, send appointment reminders, meet our legal and professional obligations, and improve our website and advertising. With your separate consent, we also use your contact details to send you promotional emails and text messages.

Advertising, analytics and cookies

We advertise on Google and use the following tools on our websites:

  • Google Ads conversion tracking tells us when someone who clicked one of our ads goes on to submit a form or call us, so we can measure which ads work.
  • Google Ads remarketing may show our ads to people who have previously visited our websites, while they browse other sites or use Google.
  • Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager help us understand how visitors use our websites.
  • Google reCAPTCHA protects our forms from spam.
  • Hotjar shows us how visitors interact with our pages, such as where they click and scroll. Text typed into form fields is hidden from these recordings.
  • Ahrefs Web Analytics provides basic visit statistics without using cookies.

We put limits on how these tools are used because some of our services are medical in nature:

  • We do not send the contents of our forms, including your treatment of interest or message, to Google or any other advertising or analytics provider.
  • We do not upload client or patient lists to Google or any other advertising platform.
  • We do not tell advertising platforms whether you booked, attended or received a treatment.
  • Remarketing audiences are based on general visits to our websites, not on any health condition or concern.

When you first visit our websites, you can accept or decline analytics and advertising cookies separately, and you can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings link at the bottom of each page. If you decline, our advertising and analytics tags work in a restricted mode that does not use cookies to identify you. You can also manage Google ad personalization at adssettings.google.com and opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt out add on.

Email and text messages

We will send appointment confirmations and reminders to clients and to people who have asked to book with us. We will only send promotional emails or texts if you have given us your consent, which is never a condition of booking or contacting us. You can unsubscribe from emails using the link in any message, or reply STOP to any text message.

Who we share information with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the clinic and our websites, such as our booking and practice management software, website hosting, email and SMS providers, payment processors and the advertising and analytics tools listed above. These providers may only use the information to provide their services to us. We share personal health information outside the clinic only with your consent or where the law permits or requires it, for example with another healthcare provider involved in your care.

Where your information is stored

Some of our service providers, including Google and Hotjar, store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States and the European Union. Information stored outside Canada is subject to the laws of those countries and may be accessible to their authorities.

How long we keep it

We keep clinical records for as long as required by law and by the professional regulations that apply to our providers. Inquiries that do not lead to a booking are kept only as long as needed to respond and follow up, and are then deleted. Website and advertising data is kept according to the retention settings of each tool, which we set to the shortest practical period.

How we protect it

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards suited to the sensitivity of the information, including access limited to staff who need it, secure software and encrypted connections on our websites. If a privacy breach affects you, we will notify you and report it to the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario or the Privacy Commissioner of Canada where required.

Your rights

You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, withdraw your consent to marketing or to a particular use of your information (subject to legal limits), and ask questions about how we handle it. Contact us using the details below. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario about personal health information, or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada about other personal information.

Children

Our websites and advertising are not directed at people under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information online from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The effective date at the top shows when it was last revised.
